1% for the Planet
Stroud Water Research Center is a recipient organization for 1% for the Planet, a growing global movement of companies that donate 1% of their sales to a network of approved environmental organizations worldwide.
1% for the Planet was founded in 2001 by Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, owner of Blue Ribbon Flies.
Since 1985, Patagonia has awarded over $46 million in cash and in-kind donations to domestic and international grassroots environmental groups, including Stroud Water Research Center.
La Matera Chooses the Center as a 1% for the Planet Recipient
The Center is pleased to have been chosen as a 1% recipient by La Matera.
Their beautiful hand-stitched belts, inspired by the Argentine countryside, are made from vegetable tanned leather and Argentine woven fabric.
