Having grown up in the Sunshine State, it’s not surprising David Reinfeld has an equally sunny outlook for his new position at Stroud™ Water Research Center. “I’m extremely motivated to see the Stroud Center succeed,” he said in a recent interview. “I look forward to helping people recognize the global impact that we make and that through generous funding we can continue to be innovative and preserve freshwater resources for future generations.”

He joins the Stroud Center as the new director of campaign programs and major gifts, bringing with him more than 15 years of arts, culture, and social service fundraising in the nonprofit sector. Throughout his career, he has secured more than $35 million in contributions.

Recently, at the Chester County Historical Society, he served as acting/interim president (2014–2016) and vice president of development (2010–2016). Prior to that, he worked at The Kimmel Center from 2006 to 2010. His insider knowledge of nonprofits has also led him to become a member and trustee of several organizations throughout Chester and Montgomery counties.

If that isn’t enough to smile about, Reinfeld finds time outside of his career to enjoy simple pleasures: “I like spending time with my two dogs, Molly and Casey. And I love watching the History Channel and American Pickers.”

Kristine Lisi, the Stroud Center’s director of development, said, “I’ve known David for many years through the historical society, and I have always respected his work ethic. So I consider the Stroud Center very fortunate to have someone with David’s experience and knowledge of this community.

“He is a real go-getter, and you can’t help but appreciate his enthusiasm and willingness to further the Stroud Center’s mission. We’re lucky to have him!”
