March 11th 6:00 PM
“Nothing beats a picture to educate or tell a story,” says Bob Caputo, a world traveler, adventurer and twenty-eight year veteran photographer for National Geographic magazine. Spend this evening with him and you’ll agree. Caputo will take us to some of the most remote places on earth and to the front lines of a war zone. If you’ve never been to the Congo or the Nile, this is your opportunity to do so with one of the most charismatic of Chester County residents.

Caputo will present images from his many adventures and share his insights and perspective on an innovative education program he helped Stroud educators produce called Mountaintop to Tap. This education program became nothing short of a watershed moment for the 12 high-school students who hiked, rowed and paddled the 200-mile path of New York City’s drinking water. What they learned is embodied in their acts of watershed stewardship and highlighted by a documentary film; what they accomplished and felt is captured in their compelling photographs and candid journal entries that comprise the Mountaintop to Tap photography exhibition on display at the Stroud Water Research Center from March 1st through May 31st.
